‘I Love You’ – 3 words, 8 letters, 1 meaning
… or is it just the one meaning?
|
Love is a many splendid thing, the song tells us, and indeed there are many types of love so it makes defining the word most difficult. The song is quite right isn’t it? When saying that we love something we could be using the expression to apply to our favourite meal or sport, but also we could be describing our love of a person. Two totally different types of feeling and it’s not recommended that you confuse the two! The latter one can then divide further as the difference can easily be seen between the type of love used to describe the love of God, the intimacy of romantic love, the strong desire of a sexual love, the love of a family member and the platonic love of friendship. These are all situations where the word love can rightly be used, but each type of love will be different.
There are many ways you can say I Love You, and we are here to help, whether it is for a special occasion like Valentines Day or a Wedding Anniversary, or that you simply need someone to know that you do love them.
